Sorghum granules are used to prepare the local porridge commonly called "aklui zogbon" in the local Ewe language. Sorghum is a cereal very rich in dietary fiber that promotes healthy digestion.
Sorghum is also rich in vitamin B and minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, calcium and iron. These nutrients help strengthen the immune system.
To prepare aklui zongbon follow these steps:
1- Boil drinking water;
2- Pour the desired amount of sorghum granules into the boiling water while stirring the mixture with a clean wooden spatula;
3- Let the mixture boil for 5 minutes;
Add sugar or honey to the mixture according to your preferences and it is ready for consumption.
