Made from corn, these granules are used to prepare the local porridge commonly called "aklui zogbon" in the local Ewe language. Corn is a cereal rich in nutrients such as vitamin B and C, calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and antioxidants essential to protect the body. Its high fiber content helps to stay in shape and promotes good digestive health.
To prepare aklui zogbon porridge, follow these steps:
1- Boil drinking water;
2- Pour the desired amount of corn granules into the boiling water while stirring the mixture with a clean wooden spatula;
3- Let the mixture boil for 5 minutes;
Add sugar or honey to the mixture according to your preference and it is ready for consumption.
